- ARC of Pike County (Association for Retarded
Citizens) - Provides leadership and
programs for persons afflicted by mental retardation and their family caregivers, including training that will
lead to greater independence and self actualization.
- Camp
Speers-Eljabar YMCA - Financial assistance for sending needy Pike children
to camp, helping parents to remain in the workforce during the summer months.
- Catholic Social Services - Material Assistance Program- providing general living
necessities to needy Pike families on a temporary basis
- CDD (Center for Developmental Disabilities) - provides educational, therapeutic and referral services
for special needs children, from birth through age 5, as well as their families.
- Country Ark Farm - Therapeutic and respite services.
- Devereaux Pocono Center - Relief Care Program provides both in-home and center-based
respite care for the elderly in Pike County
- GAIT (Genuine Alternative In Therapy) - promotes physical, mental and emotional well being
for disabled children and adults through structured interaction with animals, specifically therapeutic equine programs.
- Good News Good Cheer Food Pantry
- Habitat for Humanity - provides programs to alleviate homelessness and provide adequate
housing for those in need.
- HCHY (Healthy Communities Healthy Youth) - Serving Wayne and Pike Counties; funds used to supplement
the cost of a Train-the-trainer workshop for Pike individuals who will mobilize the community to become a positive,
supportive environment for the development of our youth
- Holy Trinity Food Pantry - provides supplemental pantry services to help meet
basic food needs of Pike County families in low income situations who could not otherwise obtain sufficient nutrition.
- Karen Ann Quinlan Hospice Charitable Foundation - Pike County Services.
- Mobile Dental Outreach Program - Sponsored by Wayne Memorial Health Foundation. Amobile
unit that delivers dental health services and public health insurance assistance to low-income Pike families
- PCDC (Pike County Developmental Center) - A respite center that provides training for developmentally
challenged adults - ages 16 and up, enhancing their lives and helping them reach greater independence.
- Sarah Wells Girl Scout Council, Adult Training
and Education Program - programs to
train adults who, in turn, teach girl scouts about the importance of community service and how to set and achieve
personal goals for performing lifelong successful community service.
- Survivors'
Resources - provides direct services
to victims of domestic violence and sexual assault.
- Wayne-Pike Adult Literacy - Provides training for basic learning skills and one
on one reading instruction.
