1. American Red Cross; Wayne - Pike Chapter
Support for ongoing disaster relief for families in Pike
County.
2. Catholic Social Services
Material Assistance Program- providing general living necessities
to needy Pike families on a temporary basis.
3. CDD - Center for Developmental Disabilities of Pike County
Providing a continuum of educational, therapeutic, and referral
services for Pike children birth through age five and their families, thereby maximizing the children's potential
and broadening the families' support base.
4. Compassionate Friends-Delaware Valley Chapter
Assisting Pike County families towards positive resolution
of grief following the death of a child of any age and to provide information to help others be supportive.
5. Country Ark Farm
Providing program services for the physically, mentally and
emotionally special-abled community in Pike County.
6. Devereux Pocono Center
Relief Care Program providing in-home relief care services
for homebound individuals in Pike County.
7. GAIT - Genuine Alternative In Therapy
Therapeutic services for disabled children and adults; Scholarship
Fund for needy families unable to afford services.
8. Good News Good Cheer Food Pantry
Providing food supplies and services to Pike County residents
in need.
9. Habitat for Humanity
Building adequate and affordable housing for families in
Pike County threatened by homelessness, who in turn provide sweat equity and financial commitment.
10. Holy Trinity Lutheran Church Food Pantry
Serving Pike by providing healthy food to needy families
- including meat, vegetables, fresh produce and juice.
11. Pegasus Child Advocacy Center
Advocacy center brings balance and protection to the community
by ensuring the best possible professional response to child abuse victims and by providing comprehensive therapeutic
options to heal, restore and strengthen any child affected by crime.
12. PCDC - Pike County Developmental Center
A respite center that provides training for developmentally
challenged adults - ages 16 and up, enhancing their lives and helping them reach greater independence.
13. Pike County Alliance for Prevention Programs
Operates Communities That Care After School Program.
14. PEEC - Pocono Environmental Education Center
Financial assistance to make summer program participation
available to the children of Pike County.
15. Sarah Wells Girl Scout Council -
Adult Leadership Training Program creates better leaders
and enables the Girl Scouts to expand services throughout Pike County.
16. Survivors' Resources
Providing direct services to victims of domestic violence
and sexual assault, empowering them to become survivors.
17. The Salvation Army
To meet human needs in the local community by providing material
assistance to Pike County residents.
18. Wayne-Pike Adult Literacy
Provides free one-on-one basic skills, GED, and ESL instruction
to Pike adults seventeen or older, giving them the necessary skills to succeed in the workforce.
19. Voluntary Action Center of NEPA
: Big Brothers Big Sisters Pike Extension
Provides Pike County "at-risk" youth with mentoring
relationships.
20. YMCA Camp Speers-Eljabar
Scholarships for childcare, day camp, resident camp and community
sports program experiences available to the children of Pike County.
