PikePaHelp.org Offers HELP to All in Pike County

Screen shot of PikePaHelp.org
Picture: PikePaHelp.org has a listing of human, health, public, community or other essential services available to the people of Pike County.
There is a wonderful resource for those of you who are concerned about the cold winter and chilly economic climate we all find ourselves in.  PikePaHelp.org, managed by the United Way of Pike County, is an online database of over 200 human service agencies and organizations that provide human, health, public, community or other essential services to the people of Pike County.  The site was recently reformatted using the latest web application platform and also has a fabulous new look thanks to our site host, Michael Sumerano of Sumerano.com.

Since not everyone has computer access, the United Way published a book of the online directory and distributed it to county and township administrative buildings, schools, libraries, churches, and many human service agencies – any place that has great public access.  Special thanks to the Pike County Youth Coalition for helping put the books together and distributing them throughout the county.  Brochures entitled “Find Help Now” are also available throughout Pike County with a listing of agencies that offer assistance.  The goal of the United Way is to help build and support the human services infrastructure in the county and to aid the members of our community in need with finding the resources available to them.

The directory and brochure are posted in PDF format on the PikePaHelp.org and United Way of Pike County website at
www.unitedwaypike.org for anyone to download and print their own copy; direct link to the directory and brochure.  Support for this program was made possible by the United Way of Pike County, a Monroe/Pike Community Services Block Grant and the Pike County Human Services Development Fund.  For more information about the United Way of Pike County, any of its programs, or to make a donation, visit www.unitedwaypike.org, or call toll free 888-306-6963 or 570-296-9980.  “What Matters”, “Offering Hope – Building Futures” – It’s the United Way!
