During the month of May the United Way of Pike County would like to partner with local retailers to raise money to fund Pike County food pantries and human service agencies. We would like to ask for your participation in this campaign. Your store would be featured in our campaign the week of May 21st and run through May 28th.
As a retailer, this is a fairly easy way to raise money and give back to the community. All that would be required is a special bar code or sku to be used a point of sale. To capture attention and support, we will spotlight your store and issue press releases to the local newspapers and media outlets.
During the week long campaign, customers will be given the opportunity at every check out location to make a contribution to the United Way of Pike County. At the end of the week, you would just generate a check to the UWPC for the total monies raised. It’s that simple!
With your help, the United Way of Pike County will carry on the mission to alleviate homelessness and hunger and to enrich the lives of others.
In 2011 the United Way of Pike County was able to fund the following agencies:
Pike County Developmental Center, Catholic Social Services, Salvation Army, American Red Cross, Habitat for Humanity, Pike/Wayne Adult Literacy, Country Ark Farm, Genuine Alternative in Therapy, New Vision Clubhouse, Camp Speers Eljabar YMCA, Center for Developmental Disabilities, Holy Trinity Food Pantry, Good Cheer Food Pantry, Bushkill Outreach Pantry, Ecumenical Food Pantry and Safe Haven of Pike County.
We hope that you will be able to partner with us in this campaign effort to raise funds for our local human service agencies who in-turn help our friends and neighbors in need.
As always, thank you for your continued support of the United Way of Pike County!
United Way, Pike County
