Day of Caring and Blood Drive
September 17, 2011
11th Annual Day of Caring and 9th Annual 9-11 Memorial Blood Drive
Thanks to the 262 Volunteers and 66 Blood Donors this Year!
The Day of Caring is a day when volunteers come out and travel to local non-profit human service agencies and help clean up, clean out and refresh for the coming months ahead. All around Pike County you will see many volunteers painting, cleaning, gardening, building and organizing. Even more importantly, giving and sharing while carrying on the tradition of giving back to the community.
Every Day of Caring volunteer will receive a free tee shirt. The tee shirts are a gift to each volunteer from The Dime Bank. After registration all volunteers are invited to enjoy a hearty breakfast prepared by the Warrior Café. The breakfast is compliments of Orange & Rockland Power, Pike County Light and Power. Volunteers may take advantage of school bus transportation to some of the agencies, provided by the Delaware Valley School District.
